OK. It's official. Because the owner of Blogspeak (who provide the comments facility I use) is having problems with his service provider, I have moved from this Blog to Y2Daves LiveJournal. I'm a bit sad to leave Blogger, but I prefer to be able to recieve comments from all of you Daveites out there. So, until all Blogger related problems are fixed, I'll be over at LiveJournal. Feel free to visit and leave comments there. (For non-LiveJournal owners- select anonymous on the comment entry)

OK Tomorrow I'm going to try and get this all sorted out. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice....
I'm really ashamed of myself!
I just patiently explained some directions from here to the city to a young lady, simply because she was Irish.
Ohh these foreign lasses.........

I have consulted the Magic 8-Ball and it says the following:
Got a few moments here before I have to go to work so I thought I'd give you all a quick update on what's happening. Nuthin much..... Had a relaxing weekend (for once), went over to The Can-Man's place on Saturday where we watched that remarkable documentary The Lost Boys (from back in the days of Corey Feldman) That's basically the highlight of the weekend, leading into Monday morning at 6:45 where I'm drinking a cuppa coffee, listening to The Best Of The Eurythmics and typing this. But at least I'm a bit happier then last time. And fairly soon I'll be Non-net connected again! I don't get the point when I have to keep connecting every 3 minutes due to session shutdowns all the time. Anyway, since most of the stuff I do on the net is this Blog, I really don't need it. (Except I will miss the three free Goon Shows every Month). Ah well, I can always fill that void with wrestling videos........
Business is about to pick up here, (so I better get to work)
Hey Hey! We're back to Bert Alert!

Here's a couple of guidelines for life for you:
"Where there is chaos there is also opportunity."
and more importantly,
"Don't trust anyone"

I went to the Dickson Tray-Dees after work for a few drinx. When I was at the bar I saw a regular library cutomer, who I usually have verbal sparring matches with, trying to be he more witty than the other. (he's only half made it) We ended up having a long enjoyable chat about Geordies, The Goon Show and the history of Cinema. Made me feel a bit less depressed.
and as normal, I still can't remember his F**king name.......

This entry was typed at 8:01pm Sunday Night God knows when I'll post it.
I just spent an hour "tidying" my storeroom. I have so much stuff in there, (mostly comics) that the very act of tidying is fairly pointless. Shuffling my storeroom seems to be a better way to put it. I'm going to have to get rid of a few of my old comics that aren't worth much. Any library want em?
Must look into getting a permanant net connection if I'm gonna start blogging really regularly. What's the dudes you with DDD? Is it Optus? Or I could just use the work connections like I normally do. Though when I have two days off I start to get withdrawals if I have no connection. Ah well. Theres always the Powerhouse (even though I can only use one terminal there as the other two block DDD and Panda's LiveJournals with NetNanny)
I really feel like a drink, however its way too hot to walk to the pub, and the only other drinks here are a bottle of Wild Turkey that I was given by my brother when he got married (YEARS AGO!) , a bottle of Jim Beam that Civic library gave me as a farewell present when I left a few YEARS AGO! (They must have thought I was an alcho!) and a bottle of Maxwells Mead. Not what I'd call a great selection. Heh. Just when I was typing this stuff about alky-hole , my Media player started playing Mr Bojangles. How fitting..... My PC seems to do that. It seems to know what song to play to fit my mood and/or what I'm doing. I was a bit depressed the other day so it started playing Zero by Wendy Rule, and the first song it played when Dad walked in the room the other day was My Old Man's A Dustman. Freaky shit. Maybe I could write an article for New Dawn about this.
Quote Of The Day
"Puny Human!" - The Jolly Green Giant in HULK
Song Of The Day
"Set Me Free" - HULK soundtrack

Just been playing around with Goldwave trying to figure out the correct settings to get a good quality copy from audio cassettes. I Fink I've done it! I had the volume on my stereo set TOO LOUD! (But then I was dubbing metal. (If Shake Me by Cinderella can be called metal)) This is good, as I've got boxes of cassettes that deserve to be put on disc, or at least a few songs from them.
By the way, for those who can download MP3s, there are free Goon Shows (three every month) available at the Goon Show Site. Download them now and prove you are still an idiot when it comes to downloads.
I just finished reading Saving Francesca (Melina Marchetta's last book) I kept thinking to myself that "This is not bad. But I've read it before as Looking For Alibrandi" It is really similar, and a bit of a letdown after the 10 year gap between books. Ah well. Gonna try out Mick Foley's novel Tietam Brown next. He's quite a good writer for someone who used to make a living diving onto concrete floors.
Hey cool! Goldwave can be used to play stuff backwards! Lets have a listen to all the messages from Satan........

After the fun with had with the system today, I'm going to write a Country & Western song entitles My Girl Is As Reliable As Horizon I wonder if that'll be as good as Get Off The Table Mabel, The Ten Bucks is For the Beer.

Or do you want a tearjerker? How about Who Put the Sand In The Vaseline?

I just realised that the theme to Re-Animator that's been going through my head is actually one of the themes from Psycho. No wonder it sounded familiar. Sudden realisations like that make me feel better, and I need a lot of cheering up today.
Not gonna talk about it..........
